About Me

I completed my BS degree in Accounting and Finance from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi between August 2016 and June 2020. During my academic program, I studied a range of courses such as Financial Modeling, Investment Banking, Advanced Taxation, and Corporate Finance, to name a few. After graduating, I worked as a Senior Associate Service Delivery at HRSG BPO between November 2020 and July 2021. My responsibilities included managing workforce administration, maintaining employee benefits, and managing payroll and tax compliance using Decibel software. Later, I started working as an Account and Finance Officer at Jabbar Steel Industry from July 2021 to January 2023. In this role, I was responsible for recording transactions related to scrap trading, purchasing and selling steel, and managing payroll and benefits. I also prepared financial statements and budgeting reports, which required me to gather data from various transactions. Currently, I work as an HR Services and Payroll Specialist at GFK since January 2023, where I am responsible for managing HR and payroll processes. This includes updating salary data, preparing payroll reports, owning employee data in Workday, and providing support to line managers and employees. In terms of academic projects, I have worked on a range of interesting topics, including Investment Banking, Security Analysis, SAP, Financial Modeling, and Fixed Income Investment. These projects have allowed me to develop a range of skills, such as forecasting, account reconciliation, financial analysis, tax compliance, budgeting, and payroll management. In terms of software proficiency, I am skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Quick Books, SAP, and Excel VBA. I can speak English, Urdu, and Burushaki. I am also interested in sports such as soccer, cricket, badminton, and volleyball, and I enjoy traveling, reading articles, and playing chess during my free time. Overall, I have developed skills in communication, analytical thinking, interpersonal relations, problem-solving, and leadership, which have helped me succeed in my professional and academic endeavors.

Teaching Experience

Home tutoring is a great way to provide students with personalized and one-on-one attention that they may not receive in a traditional classroom setting. As a home tutor with 2 years of experience, I have found that working in a student's home environment allows for a more comfortable and relaxed learning experience. When tutoring at a student's home, I am able to observe their study habits, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and tailor my lessons accordingly. This personalized approach helps me to identify and address any gaps in their understanding, and to develop a study plan that is tailored to their unique learning style. In addition to providing academic support, home tutoring also allows for a close relationship to be built between the tutor, the student, and their family. As a tutor, I have found that building a good rapport with the student and their family is crucial for creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Overall, home tutoring is a highly effective way to provide students with personalized attention, and to help them achieve their academic goals. It is a rewarding experience that allows me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of my students.
