About Me

I'm Awais Shah, a Computer Science graduate and published AI researcher from Pakistan with a passion for making complex concepts easy to understand. I currently teach Computer Science at Brainiac International School, where I've helped 53% of my students measurably improve their understanding using structured, engaging teaching methods. My research focuses on real-time AI and computer vision — I have a peer-reviewed publication in an international engineering journal, which means I don't just know these subjects, I've contributed to them. Whether you're a beginner learning Python for the first time or an undergraduate stuck on machine learning theory, I can meet you exactly where you are and take you further.

Teaching Experience

I have hands-on teaching experience in both formal classroom and one-on-one mentoring settings: 1. CS Teacher at Brainiac International School & College (Aug 2024 – Present) I teach Computer Science to secondary and higher-secondary level students using the 5E instructional model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate). Within one term, 53% of students showed measurable improvement in their grades and conceptual understanding. I cover programming fundamentals, logic building, algorithms, and introductory AI modules. 2. Project Mentoring & Research Guidance As part of my undergraduate studies and independent research, I guided peers through final-year projects involving Python, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and object detection. I am experienced in breaking down difficult AI/ML topics — like neural networks, model training, and computer vision pipelines — into step-by-step lessons that stick. 3. Academic Tutoring Background I have informally tutored fellow students in programming, data structures, and machine learning throughout my degree, preparing them for exams and project submissions. Teaching approach: I use real-world projects as the backbone of every lesson. Instead of dry theory, students build things — detectors, classifiers, scripts — so they learn by doing. I adapt my pace and language to each learner, and I'm fluent in English, Urdu, and Pashto.
