About Me

I am Gohar I Nayab, an Educational Consultant, Data Analyst and Researcher, and a PhD Research Scholar in Education. I have extensive experience in Mathematics education, teacher training, and academic research, with a particular interest in helping students develop strong conceptual understanding and confidence in learning. I specialize in teaching O Level Mathematics and Bible Knowledge, combining subject knowledge with a student-centred approach. My teaching focuses on making complex concepts clear, developing problem-solving and analytical skills, and preparing students effectively for examinations. I believe that effective tutoring is not simply about completing a syllabus; it is about helping students understand why something works, practise systematically, and become confident independent learners. I adapt my teaching to each student's learning needs, pace, and academic goals.

Teaching Experience

I have around 14 years of experience teaching Mathematics, particularly at the lower-secondary and Cambridge levels. I have taught Mathematics as a classroom teacher, Mathematics Coordinator, and teacher educator, working with students and trainee teachers in different educational settings. My experience includes teaching and coordinating Cambridge Mathematics, developing lessons and assessments, supporting students with examination preparation, and helping learners strengthen their conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. I have also taught at the university level in teacher-education programmes, including Mathematics Pedagogy and Mathematics Content, as well as courses related to critical thinking, educational research, classroom management, and guidance and counselling. For Bible Knowledge, I focus on helping students understand biblical texts, themes, historical and contextual perspectives, and the analytical skills required for examination questions. My approach encourages students to move beyond memorisation and develop the ability to explain, analyse, compare, and apply biblical knowledge effectively. As a tutor, my goal is to provide structured lessons, targeted practice, constructive feedback, and examination-oriented preparation while maintaining a supportive learning environment.
