About Me

I'm a third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student, about to step into my fourth year. Long before I picked physical therapy, I was already the friend who ended up explaining things to the rest of the group, the one who'd basically take over when the teacher stepped out, not because I had to, but because I genuinely enjoyed it. Breaking a concept down until it actually clicks for someone is one of my favorite things to do. Biology, english, chemistry, physiology, that's where I'm strongest, and it's also where I've already spent time guiding pre-medical students informally. Give me a topic and a little prep time, and I can teach it properly. I take preparation seriously, and I think that shows in how clearly I can explain something once I've sat with it. Teaching isn't just a side gig for me, education and healthcare are the two fields I want to spend my life contributing to, in whatever form that takes. I can see myself teaching academically even after I graduate, alongside clinical work. Outside of that, I'm also involved in community and fundraising work, which keeps me grounded in why I want to do any of this in the first place.

Teaching Experience

I haven't tutored in a formal, paid setting yet, but I've always been the person in my class that others come to when something doesn't click. I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy student with a strong foundation in biology and general science, and I'm most comfortable teaching till grade 10 level, where I can focus on building solid fundamentals. I just haven't had a formal platform until now, which is exactly why I'm applying.
