About Me
I have done BS Hon in Maths and have O/A Level background. Currently I'm working as a Maths teacher at KIMS. Over nine years of teaching mathematics, my style has evolved from rigid instruction to dynamic, student-centered facilitation. I craft structured, interactive lesson plans that prioritize deep conceptual understanding over rote memorization. By linking abstract mathematical concepts directly to real-world challenges, I help students see its practical value, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and continuous personal growth in every learner.
Teaching Experience
Teaching Maths, Add Maths, Physics and Chemistry to O Levels since 2018. Teaching Maths to A Level since 2020. Preparing Kids for SAT Maths since 2021. Taught Maths to students of various boards abroad, such as: IGCSE, EDEXCEL and American Board.
What My Students Say
O level Math and Sciences
Throughout my O1, O2, and O3, I struggled significantly with Mathematics and the Sciences. Despite putting in effort, I would often barely manage to score above a C or D, and I genuinely felt that these subjects were simply not my strengths. My grades and confidence remained low, and I found it difficult to properly understand and retain many of the concepts. Everything changed when I started studying with Sir Mughira. His expertise, teaching style, and ability to identify exactly where a student is struggling made a huge difference in my academic performance. With his guidance, I started understanding concepts rather than simply memorizing them. Gradually, my confidence improved, and I began achieving good grades in my mocks, something I had not expected from myself.
The biggest surprise came when I received my final O-level results and achieved unexpected A grades in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Considering how much I had struggled with these subjects throughout O1, O2, and O3, these results meant a lot to me. I genuinely believe that Sir Mughira played a major role in helping me reach that level, and without his guidance and support, achieving those grades would have been extremely difficult for me. What makes Sir Mughira different from many other tutors is that his focus is not simply on teaching a topic, assigning homework, and giving students long, repetitive tasks. He makes sure that the student actually understands the topic before moving forward. If there is a concept that you are struggling with, he takes the time to explain it from different angles until it becomes clear. His approach is focused on building understanding, strengthening concepts, and preparing the student to tackle questions independently.
O level Math
Sir Mughira is a really good teacher. I studied Maths from him, and he knows how to build interest in students. My experience with him was great. His teaching techniques are very student-friendly and he makes concepts easier to understand.
O levels Maths, Physics, Chemistry
I studied from Sir Mughira for my O levels Maths, Physics, Chemistry and have to say he’s one of the best and experienced teachers out there. He was available 24/7 despite the fact that he also had his exams going on. Even during his days off and during family gatherings and events he would guide me through text and even would take the time to video call me and go through the problems step by step on a note book. I ended up with a B starting from U all thanks to him.
O Level Math
I was struggling in O levels Add Maths and thats when i called started taking lessons from Sir Mughira, he made me practice alot of past papers and made me understand the root of each concept, making it easier to understand. I wasn’t doing well in internal exams for Add maths and he helped me irrespective of the time, he was there giving me solutions to my questions at 2am. Would definitely recommend other students to choose him as their maths teacher.
