About Me
My name is Aamina Shahid, and I am a Physics graduate with a strong passion for teaching, research, and technology. Over the past two years, I have gained valuable experience as a tutor, teaching subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, and English to students of different levels. Through this experience, I have developed the ability to simplify complex concepts, encourage curiosity, and build confidence in learners. I especially enjoy creating an interactive learning environment where students feel motivated to ask questions and think critically. In addition to teaching, I have a deep interest in research and problem-solving. During my undergraduate studies, I completed a thesis titled “Neural Network Approach to Address the Lorenz Dynamical System,” which allowed me to explore the exciting intersection of physics and artificial intelligence. This project strengthened my analytical skills, coding abilities, and ability to work on innovative solutions. I have also co-authored a research paper in computational materials science, which further fueled my passion for scientific exploration and writing. Beyond academics, I am motivated by opportunities that allow me to grow, contribute, and inspire others—especially women and underrepresented groups. Being a disabled female, I strongly believe in resilience, inclusivity, and the power of education to create change. In summary, I see myself as a curious learner, a dedicated teacher, and an aspiring researcher. I am eager to continue developing my skills, share knowledge, and make a meaningful contribution wherever I go.
Teaching Experience
I have over two years of tutoring experience, both online and in-person, where I taught subjects including Physics, Mathematics, and English. My approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts, using examples and interactive methods to ensure students truly understand the material. I have worked with learners of different levels, from beginners to advanced, and adapted my teaching style to meet their individual needs. Beyond subject knowledge, I also helped students develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and confidence in their learning abilities.
I've been teaching a variety of subjects for 4 years now, with a focus primarily on English writing and communication skills as well as music theory.
