My name is Maryam Afzal and I am a dedicated MPhil candidate in Chemistry at the University of Gujrat (UOG), building upon the strong foundational knowledge I gained during my Bachelor's degree, which I also completed at UOG in 2025. My academic journey is focused on translating theoretical concepts into practical, real-world applications. I actively seek opportunities to engage with the broader scientific community, as demonstrated by my recent participation in a conference at GC University, Faisalabad. This experience enriched my understanding of current research trends and innovations in the field. My passion for applied chemistry is clearly reflected in my hands-on project experience. During my final year, I undertook a comprehensive project to develop a unique perfume, allowing me to master intricate techniques in organic synthesis and fragrance formulation. I further honed my practical skills by creating a fluorescent floor cleaner, a project that combined chemical knowledge with product development. Additionally, I have proficient experience with essential laboratory techniques, having successfully completed a distillation project. These endeavors have equipped me with a robust skill set in research, problem-solving, and analytical thinking, and I am eager to bring my dedication and expertise to a challenging professional role in the chemical industry.
