About Me

I believe that my academic training and my twelve years of experience working as a researcher in Arabic and Islamic sources and as a teacher of Islamic Studies prepare me to be an effective instructor. Throughout my career, I have studied Islamic Studies and Arabic as a major subject and completed my master program in the University of Punjab Lahore in Arabic. To further enhance my knowledge of Arabic and Islamic disciplines I joined Al-Mawrid Institute of Islamic Sciences, Lahore, in February 1999 and studied Modern and Classical Arabic language and Literature. I did my MS in Islamic Studies from UCP in 2013 securing 3.9/4 CGPA. Presently, I am pursuing my PhD Islamic Thought and Culture from UMT. I joined Al-Mawrid as a Research Assistant and also worked against various positions (2002-June 2016). My job responsibilities at Al-Mawrid included research in the Islamic Studies, early, medieval and modern periods. I have rendered a few Arabic texts into English. I have been a contributor to Renaissance, Monthly Islamic Journal, Lahore, and published many essays on Islamic Studies. During my research work and training, I have been fortunate enough to also serve as lecturer in various institutes. My 12-year professional experience as a Researcher have helped me excel in a number of research skills and a broad view of Islamic disciplines, that would be extremely useful in student tutorials. My experience has also enhanced my confidence and interest in teaching, and look forward to the opportunity to both teach assigned classes and to develop my own courses.
